Bateaux Vicky is the leading speed boat tours provider in Mauritius for the eastern region. Ile aux Cerfs has always been a dream spot for tourists visiting Mauritius. Bateaux Vicky caters for over 90% of speed boat transfers to the eastern islands and Grande Rivière Sud Est waterfall visit.
The company was founded and managed by Mr Jean Claude Dardenne (also known as “Missié Vicky”) who is widely respected in the Trou d´Eau Douce region for putting his village on the world map.
Today the company is managed by Mr Moise Dardenne who is the son of Jean Claude Dardenne. Moise was also a former president of the village council of Trou d’eau Douce and is the director of restaurants Four à Chaud and La Case Poisson.
The Dardennes have diversified their activities over the years. Moise manages Bateaux Vicky and La Case Poisson, the second best restaurant in the country according to the New York Times in 2004. While Le Figaro has ranked him among the best restaurants in the country. Jean -Claude helps prepare the grilled dishes on Ile aux Cerfs where there is always a very good family atmosphere.
